Meet the Medical Staff of North Valley ENT

The physicians of North Valley Ear, Nose & Throat specialize in medical and surgical treatment of diseases and disorders of the ears, nose, throat (ENT) and head and neck. They are referred to as Otolaryngologists or ENT specialists.

Peter Kaiser, MD

Dr. Peter Kaiser is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology as an otolaryngologist/head and neck surgeon. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dr. Kaiser received his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery internship and ENT residency at Northwestern University Medical Center in Chicago. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Kaiser enjoys spending time with his wife, Terri, and their children, Colton, Brianna and Brady.

Patient Care Philosophy
“I enjoy patients of all ages and believe strongly in helping them be properly prepared for the treatment or surgery ahead. Whether I’m treating an adult patient or reassuring a parent about the care of their child, I feel it’s important to listen to their concerns and support them as they prepare for and receive the care they need.”

Michael Gutman, MD

Dr. Michael Gutman is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology as an otolaryngologist/head and neck surgeon. He received his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, where he also completed his general surgery internship and residency in the Department of Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery. Dr. Gutman is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. He enjoys playing the guitar, golf, and football. Dr. Gutman’s wife Robyn is a pediatrician, and they are the proud parents of daughters, Sophia, Talia and Aliya.

Joseph Chiara, MD

Dr. Joseph Chiara is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology as an otolaryngologist/head and neck surgeon. He received his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine. After medical school, he completed his general surgery internship and residency in the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. After completion of his residency, Dr. Chiara served as Chief of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Irwin Army Community Hospital at Fort Riley, Kansas from 2010-2014. He enjoys outdoor activities, almost all sports, and spending time with his wife, Jamie, and their children, Gabriella, Gwyneth, Henry, William and George.
